The Steering Committee is a school community’s representative body, made up of school staff, parents/community members. The primary responsibility of the Steering Committee is to participate in the development of the (SPSA) also known as the Single Plan for Student Achievement, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs by monitoring the use of Title I and other supplemental funding available to the school site. The SC also umbrellas the ELAC, in that it aids in the decision-making process for Title I monies appropriated for English learners. Important to note is
Please read our Steering Committee Meeting Agenda and Meeting Notes. Meetings are generally held every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6:00-8:00 p.m., inside Room 15. Please check our dates posted under “Steering Committee Dates.”
Agendas are posted publicly on website, school cafeteria and office area 48 hours prior to meeting.
Comments from the public may be presented to the SC Meetings during the “Public Comment” portion of the meetings. The public is highly encouraged to stay for the entire meeting!
