The Steering Committee is a school community’s representative
body, made up of school staff, parents/community members.
The primary responsibility of the Steering Committee is to
participate in the development of the (LCAP) also known as
the Local Control Accountibilty Plan, and evaluate the
effectiveness of programs by monitoring the use of Title I and
other supplemental funding available to the school site.
The SC also umbrellas the ELAC, in that it aids in the
decision-making process for Title I monies appropriated for
